Welcoming Dr. Belter: Our Newest Partner in Ocean Protection

We are thrilled to announce a new and exciting partnership with Dr. Belter, a distinguished family-run cosmetics business based in Northern Germany. Known for their high-end skincare products and a deep-rooted passion for the underwater world, Dr. Belter is now joining forces with the Healthy Seas Foundation to make a tangible difference in ocean conservation.

A Shared Passion for the Sea

Dr. Belter’s commitment to the protection of marine environments stems from their love for diving and snorkeling in the Red Sea. As they eloquently put it, “Understanding the negative impact of plastic pollution on marine life, it was a natural choice for us to partner with Healthy Seas.” This alignment of values and dedication to sustainability makes this partnership a perfect fit for both our organizations.

Kickoff Clean-Up Event in Dahab

We are excited to share that the first day of our collaborative activities took place in Dahab with a successful clean-up event. The morning began with a beach clean-up, where 10 dedicated volunteers collected trash along the shore. In the afternoon, 11 divers from the Scuba Seekers Dive Center took part in two underwater clean-up dives. Together, the team tackled the litter problem head-on, sorting through debris and discussing major issues such as plastic pollution, single-use plastics, circular economy principles, ghost nets, and microplastics.

Significant Impact and Insights

On this inaugural day, over 25 large bags of trash were collected, amounting to approximately 140 kg of waste. The majority of the debris consisted of plastic bottles and cigarette butts. The event not only made a noticeable difference to the local environment but also sparked important conversations about the state of the beaches and the urgent need for continued efforts. Many participants expressed a desire for more frequent clean-ups given the ongoing marine litter challenges.

Join Us in Celebrating This Partnership

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Belter for their partnership and shared commitment to marine protection. Together, we look forward to making significant strides in cleaning our seas and protecting the incredible underwater world we all cherish.

Stay tuned for updates on our further collaborative clean-up initiatives and learn how you can support this cause through Dr. Belter’s products. To find out more, visit their website and discover how your choices can contribute to a cleaner, healthier ocean.
