About us

Who We Are:

Healthy Seas is a Dutch foundation with a global reach, established in 2013 by a coalition of businesses and non-profits. Over the past decade, our foundation has grown, supported by a diverse network of organizations across various industries and local partners in the countries where we operate.

Our Mission:

Our primary mission is to tackle the problem of marine debris and ghost nets, to promote healthier aquatic ecosystems. While we are engaged in repurposing marine litter into innovative products through partnerships, our core focus remains on marine conservation. Over the past decade, we have forged collaborations with volunteer divers, educators, fishermen, harbour authorities, and waste managers on a global scale.

Our Impact:

Since 2013 we have collected 1309.1 tons of fishing nets and other marine litter. Check out our latest Activity report from 2025.
