Welcoming Aquaelle: Closing the Circle from Discarded Nylons to Luxury Swimwear

At Healthy Seas, we often speak about circularity as a journey — one that begins beneath the surface of our seas. We are pleased to welcome Aquaelle, a Swiss luxury fashion label, as a new partner supporting our mission to remove ghost nets and marine litter from the ocean.

Aquaelle’s collections are made using ECONYL® regenerated nylon, a material created from waste such as discarded fishing nets and other nylon waste. But beyond materials, what stands out is their philosophy: a vision they describe as the “Aquaelle Circle” — a regenerative cycle that starts with ocean recovery, continues through responsible production and craftsmanship in Europe, and ultimately gives back to the environment.

In this vision, Healthy Seas represents the starting point — the moment where waste is removed from the sea and together with other discarded nylons given the possibility of becoming something new.
