In Los Angeles with DWS and the Lakers

We are grateful to have been a part of DWS‘ Global Coaching Workshop that took place between April 6-8, in Los Angeles, California. DWS has been supporting us since 2020. Through their generous donations we were able to purchase our first ghost net recovery vessel, the MAKO, carry out numerous cleanups all over Europe and make plans to expand to the USA as well as East Asia in 2022. DWS support is also outstanding when it comes to networking and employee engagement.

This event was an opportunity for meaningful exchange between the 50 participants from countries all over the world. Besides the Healthy Seas Virtual Reality Experience, they also took part in a beach cleanup that we co-organised together with Heal the Bay, at the beautiful Santa Monica beach. Over 50 lbs of trash and 400 cigarette butts were collected.

Perhaps the biggest highlight was visiting the UCLA Health Training Center where the LA Lakers practice and having a chance to meet some of them. We are getting all prepped and ready for our LA kickoff on April 28th to which we will also be inviting the Lakers.
