Another ethical and sustainable brand recently joined Healthy Seas as a partner to support our efforts against deadly ghost nets.

Bower Swimwear‘s designs utilise luxury Italian fabrics, partnered with complex construction and considered details. Their swimwear is created from fabrics produced with ECONYL®  yarn created from nylon waste including fishing nets we recovered from the seas. Their clothing is 100% vegan and they only produce to order. With components sourced from Italy & France, the final product is constructed at a small, specialised factory in Italy.

Fiona Ryn, Founder and Creative & Managing Director of the brand explains what motivated Bower to partner with Healthy Seas:

The reason we joined Healthy Seas is because we want to give back to something we have taken so much pleasure in. Marine protection is so important and we as humans have not taken enough care of this amazing environment. Even if only small, we want to ensure the future of our oceans, they make up such a huge part of our planet & we need to be responsible for the damage we have done.

Healthy Seas is an open initiative which is developed using the learning-by-doing approach. We are open to creative ideas and new partners!
