On April 15-16th, Healthy Seas was part of the 2nd Aquaculture Congress that was held at the Megaron Athens International Conference Center, in Greece. The organiser, AMBIO S.A., invited us to present our circular economy model to representatives of over 13 countries. During the 2-day conference we also gave the chance to many of the participants to immerse themselves in our Virtual Reality Experience.

This year’s conference addressed the challenges and prospects for a blue-green aquaculture. The Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, welcomed participants while Christos Economou, Acting Director of Maritime Policy and Blue Ecomony of the EC’s DG Mare, spoke about the prospects and trends for a sustainable and competitive aquaculture.

Our long standing operational partner, Diopas S.A., presented the innovative technologies for fish farming nets they have been working on in partnership with esteemed greek universities.

Overall, we felt welcomed by the sector and we hope in the near future we can become a bridge in order for their waste nets to get a second life.
