On November 8th, members of the Healthy Seas team brought our education programme about marine pollution and circular economy, to a school in Paris. This time, we teamed up with our supporting partner True Tribe, a pioneer in slow fashion swimwear designed in Paris.

Sixty 3rd and 4th graders got to enjoy our presentation and educational games that included freeing animals from nasty gill nets, getting entangled themselves and becoming ghost divers in the Healthy Seas Virtual Reality Experience. We also became litter detectives and cleaned the nearby park. Although it might have looked clean at first, the children managed to find lots of small pieces of garbage.

“The program was well catered towards students and they thoroughly enjoyed the activities. The VR experience was one of their favorites as well as going out to the park to collect trash.”~ Angelica B., Teacher

True Tribe presented their work on traceability of the materials and procedures. The young students were quite impressed that something as humble as a ghost net can become fashionable parisian swimwear.

We are thankful to all who made this possible and look forward to more activities together.
