Healthy Seas, together with Enaleia and Ghost Diving Greece, invite fishermen and recreational divers from all over Greece, to be part of the solution to one of the biggest environmental problems the seas and oceans are facing today: plastic pollution caused by lost fishing gear.

When fishermen lose their nets, these continue to catch and kill marine animals. It’s estimated that 640,000 tons of fishing gear are lost or abandoned in the seas and oceans each year. The mission of Healthy Seas is to recover the nets and make sure they are upcycled.

Everyone can now report where they have observed lost nets so that volunteer technical divers can recover the lost fishing equipment.

We are very thankful to actor Kostas Apostolidis for lending his voice for the TV Public Service Announcement.
Production was made possible thanks to the support of Curious Ahead, Unlimited and RGB Studios.

If you live in Greece, you can report lost fishing gear using one of the methods below:

If you live anywhere in the world, you can complete the form on the Ghost Diving website: https://www.ghostdiving.org/report
