Carla Dik-Faber, member of the Dutch Parliament, appeared in a dress made of ECONYL® at Little Prince’s Day in The Netherlands. Tuesday 20 September. This is the day when the King of the Netherlands addresses a joint session of the Dutch Senate and House of Representatives in the Hall of Knights, and the opening of the coming Dutch parliamentary year.
In wearing an ECONYL® dress on this special day, Ms Dik-Faber aimed to raise awareness of sustainable fishing and circular economy. The dress is specially designed by the Dutch designer Franciska Manuputty. Prior to this traditional event, a photo shoot took place on the MDV-1, a new fishing boat that consumes 80% less fuel.
We thank all of our fisheries’ partners for joining Healthy Seas and bringing their fishnets into our regeneration process. We are proud that together we created a best practice case for greening the economy.
