ECNC Group, one of the founding partners of Healthy Seas, is a new nonprofit partner of 1% for the Planet, an alliance of over 1,200 member companies in 48 countries that give one percent of their revenues to environmental causes.

This partnership places ECNC Group among a diverse global network of environmental organizations. 1% for the Planet member businesses fuel this nonprofit network through their annual contributions, which totaled over $22 million in 2011. On behalf of Healthy Seas, ECNC Group is now eligible to receive donations from 1% for the Planet member companies and this greatly expands the potential pool of funding to which ECNC can look to for support.

As co-founder of the Healthy Seas initiative, the ECNC Group joined forces with Aquafil and Star Sock to clean the oceans and seas off marine litter and recycle the rescued material for new textiles.
