For many years, environmental projects struggled to attract long-term corporate engagement because their impact was difficult to quantify. Healthy Seas works differently. Our main strategic missions document:

Recovered nylon fishing nets are regenerated together with other discarded nylons by Aquafil into ECONYL® yarn. We look for other plastic recyclers locally. Abandoned structures are dismantled and properly disposed of. Scientific monitoring supports learning and transparency.

This creates traceable value chains and credible reporting. For companies, this matters. It transforms support into accountable action.

Circularity as System Resilience

Marine litter is not only an environmental problem. It is a failure of material systems. Healthy Seas addresses this by reconnecting waste and production. Fishing nets become raw material.
